Quick Start

This is the shortest path to a working Minion Mind setup.

Open the release portal.
Pick the installer that matches your machine.
On macOS, Homebrew is the cleanest repeatable path if you already use it.

2. Launch and open a vault

Start Minion Mind.
Open an existing vault or create a new one.
Wait for the initial indexing pass to finish before judging search, links, or plugin behavior.

3. Trust the vault if you use plugins

Built-in and community plugins can execute code.
Only trust a vault when you know where the plugins came from.
After trusting a vault, confirm the plugins you need are actually enabled.

4. Verify the basics

Check these before going deeper:

Notes open in the main pane.
PDFs and canvases render.
The file tree shows the files you expect.
Search and backlinks react after indexing completes.

5. Add browser automation if needed

Install the MCP Chrome extension from the landing page.
Use it when you want live browsing tasks to be available from the workspace.
